Demystifying 9/11: Israel And The Tactics Of Mistake, by Dr. Alan Sabrosky | Intifada Palestine

Many years ago I read a fascinating discussion of the “tactics of mistake.” This essentially entailed using a target’s prejudices and preconceptions to mislead them as to the origin and intent of the attack, entrapping them in a tactical situation that later worked to the attacker’s strategic advantage...

Rape, Mercenaries, And Bloodbaths On The Scale Of Yemen? The Media Blank Amnesty's Failure To Find Evidence In Libya | Media Lens
It ought to be surprising that Amnesty and Human Rights Watch exposed US-UK propaganda in a way that the entire pack of Western media hounds was unable or unwilling to do. But as we have described many times, with rare exceptions, journalists function as stenographers to power. Arguably, as democracy has rapidly eroded in Britain – with all main political parties increasingly serving the same privileged interests – journalists have become even less inclined to challenge the powerful...

The Sanitized Version of Neoconservatism, by Stephen Sniegoski | Intifada Palestine

...What these books still conceal, however, is the fact that the neocons are motivated by their Jewish ethnicity and the interests of the state of Israel. Instead the neocons are made to appear as an ideological group loyal solely to what they believe is good for the US. Consequently, this approach, despite allowing for some elements of truth, distorts the overall picture in a serious way...

The Political Compass
US Primaries 2008

There's abundant evidence for the need of it. The old one-dimensional categories of 'right' and 'left', established for the seating arrangement of the French National Assembly of 1789, are overly simplistic for today's complex political landscape. For example, who are the 'conservatives' in today's Russia? Are they the unreconstructed Stalinists, or the reformers who have adopted the right-wing views of conservatives like Margaret Thatcher ? On the standard left-right scale, how do you distinguish leftists like Stalin and Gandhi? It's not sufficient to say that Stalin was simply more left than Gandhi. There are fundamental political differences between them that the old categories on their own can't explain. Similarly, we generally describe social reactionaries as 'right-wingers', yet that leaves left-wing reactionaries like Robert Mugabe and Pol Pot off the hook...

The threat of bank overlordship is not the kind of economy-killing policy that affords opportunities for heroism in armed battle, to be sure. Destructive financial policies are more like an exercise in the banality of evil – in this case, the pro-creditor assumptions of the European Central Bank (ECB), EU and IMF (egged on by the U.S. Treasury)...

The Unchanging Imperial Paradigm, by Sheldon Richman | Future of Freedom Foundation
..The main issue is the empire. If all combat troops were removed from Afghanistan tomorrow, the U.S. government would continue to treat that country like a protectorate, ready to send troops back if events are not to the policy elite’s liking. It’s the paradigm of empire that must be rejected. But Obama’s drawdown and disavowal of empire notwithstanding, the U.S. policy elite have no intention of reconsidering America’s hegemonic role in the world. To be sure, fiscal difficulties have forced a reconsideration of tactics, but the imperial framework remains. It was compactly summed up by President George H.W. Bush in 1991 as he prepared to move against Iraq’s Saddam Hussein after the invasion of Kuwait: “What we say goes.”..

Now, no matter what anyone thinks of justice for the Palestinians or the efforts to date to help them, or actions to counter Zionist activity in Palestine and Washington, or anything else along these lines, just look hard at those benchmarks and ask yourselves if any single one has been weakened even slightly by our efforts over the years. It's Netanyahu who is delegitimizing Israel, by MJ Rosenberg | Al Jazeera English

Israel's reaction to any protest against the occupation is often violent and overly defensive

The "pro-Israel" lobby's latest hobbyhorse is "delegitimisation". Those who criticise Israeli policies are accused of trying to "delegitimise" Israel, which supposedly means denying Israel's right to exist. Even President Obama has gotten into the act, stating in his May 19 speech that "for the Palestinians, efforts to delegitimise Israel will end in failure". Obama seemed to be referring to the Palestinians' plan to seek recognition of their state at the United Nations this autumn, although it's hard to imagine just how that would delegitimise Israel...

Let us admit it to ourselves, once and for all. The battle of Palestine for the Palestinians has been lost. The odds against them and their scattered network of supporters have been great. The last possible chance to at least stave off defeat was stillborn last year, when the Goldstone Report on Gaza was endorsed by the UN Human Rights Commission and the UN General Assembly, and then — simply stopped. Only if some country or countries had fought to bring UNGA 377A (the Uniting for Peace Resolution) before the General Assembly then to force a vote censuring Israel and, if necessary, the US and activating the punitive aspects of that resolution, did the Palestinians have some hope...

Why the NATO powers are trying to assassinate Moammar Gaddafi, by Brian Becker | Global Research
...Libya has the largest oil reserves in Africa and the ninth largest in the world with 41.5 billion barrels as of 2007. The U.S. government and oil industry surveys conclude that Libya has 63 years of reserves at current production rates if no new reserves were to be found. But Libya is considered to have many unexplored reserves. Libya has been a big prize for the western oil giants both because of the quantity of oil and of the particularly high quality of Libyan oil...

FBI to Expand Domestic Surveillance Powers as Details Emerge of Its Spy Campaign Targeting Activists | Democracy Now

What's behind the global bankers' austerity programs: Seizure of public property for corporations, by Wayne Madsen | Intrepid Report
What lies in store for Greece, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, Italy, and, in short order, the United States, is the wholesale sell-off of public property to private corporations at bargain basement prices. What the despots who gather in their secretive lairs at Davos, Cernobbio, Bilderberg, and G8/G20 are bringing about is a world where no property is owned by the state, which by default means the people. Total corporate control over every facet of life equals extreme fascism...
[A slight semantic quibble; fascism actually means this. Madsen is using the definition that considers fascism to be a political phenomenon that arose ad novo in the 20th Century. Actually, it is as old as the earliest tribal societies, if not older .]

The US Boat to Gaza will take part in the largest planned fleet yet, with an estimated 1,000 passengers from an array of countries collaborating to break Israel’s blockade. Arab families leaving Jaffa, 1948

...My first experience with the history of the Nakba came as a young Jewish Studies student at the University of Maryland. One graduate seminar I attended was led by Benny Morris, the prominent Israeli historian responsible for revolutionizing his country’s historiography pertaining to the founding period. The subject of the seminar was 1948, and the course material—army reports from the field, personal letters, radio transcripts—came directly from Morris’ influential first book, The Birth of the Palestinian Refugee Problem...

Why the Jewish State Now?, by Raef Zreik | Institute for Palestine Studies

...the mandate of the new state was not to act as the guardian of its citizens, both Arab and Jewish, but to safeguard the interests of the Jewish people wherever they were. This fact, a priori, determined the moral and political duties of the state. Consequently, one could say that Israeli citizenship was deformed at birth, genetically flawed as it were, since Israeli citizenship per se was almost irrelevant. What determined the lives and fortunes of those residing in the country was not citizenship but ethnic-national affiliation...

The Agency predicts "an inexorable movement away from a two-state to a one-state solution, as the most viable model based on democratic principles of full equality that sheds the looming specter of colonial Apartheid while allowing for the return of the 1947/1948 and 1967 (Palestinian) refugees. Prevent: A Totally Illiberal Strategy | Craig Murray

Finally, knowing that the killing of civilians, entire families including children, mothers and the elderly alienates the local population and breeds widespread and profound hostility, why do the NATO-US military refuse to

When NATO rebels finish their rape sport, the soldiers cut the women’s throats...

These banking families and their subservient beneficiaries have come to own most major businesses over the two centuries during which they have secretly and increasingly organised themselves as controllers of governments worldwide and as arbiters of war and peace...

For the past century, Zionism has been instrumental in shaping world politics - from tipping the balance in WWI, through ensuring the success of the Bolshevik revolution, the Western alliance with the Soviet Union in WWII, the growing alienation and humiliation of the Islamic world, the hotting up of the Cold War and gradual undermining the SU, right up to the still mysterious collapse of the WTC, and the subsequent devastation of Afghanistan and Iraq. Such zeal, such fanaticism demands one's awe, if not respect. How can such a small group gain such immense power?..

10 Facts That Prove The Bin Laden Fable Is a Contrived Hoax, by Paul Joseph Watson | Prison Planet

Merely a week after President Obama announced the death of Osama Bin Laden, there is literally a deluge of evidence that clearly indicates the whole episode has been manufactured for political gain and to return Americans to a state of post-9/11 intellectual castration so that they can be easily manipulated in the run up to the 2012 election...

Why June 5 Matters, by Joe Catron | Intifada Palestine
...The Israeli response came quickly. Bullet after bullet penetrated the crowd of unarmed demonstrators, each one finding its target. Artillery shells pounded the sandy dunes around us, and after several hours, tear gas canisters hissed through the air. Over a hundred people were hospitalized with serious injuries, while elsewhere on the border, a 17-year old boy was killed by artillery fire. The rest of us escaped with tear gas inhalation, cuts from exploding concrete and shrapnel, and bloodstains from the limbs, torsos, and faces shattering around us. Yet the demonstrators kept coming...

CIA Treachery in Texas, by JB Campbell | Veterans Today
...the only reason we have TSA in the airports is because of Israel. Because of our support of Israel. We’re in fear of Israel-hating Moslems who want to kill us all. No one in his right mind has this fear, but there could never have been the so-called threat of terrorism if it weren’t for Israel. This fake fear has produced the nastiest agency in the constellation of nasty agencies. Employing the abusive low-lifes of American society, the Transportation Security Administration is something that only the American government could produce...

...The truth is that the American empire is a mere Israeli colony whose major decisions are controlled by the Zionist lobby. Consequently, the Arab people and the powers of resistance and independence in the Arab countries must deal with the occupation of the land and the violation of the rights via popular and armed resistance which has already proven its efficiency and will prove it even further in the near future in Palestine, Iraq, Syria and Lebanon...

The Six-Day War and a Possible Resolution, by Ron Forthofer | Palestine Chronicle
Israel was the clear aggressor in the 1967 war

President Obama's recent statements about using the 1967 borders as the basis for a settlement of the Israeli/Palestinian conflict sparked strong reactions. These reactions also show that many people are terribly misinformed about who started the Six Day War...

Netanyahu Addresses Adoring Congress | The Real News
[It's 1941: Adolf Hitler has been invited  to address the Whorehouse on the Hill (a joint session of Congress). He is interrupted 42 times by the entire assemblage, which jumps to its feet each time with a hearty "Sieg Heil!" and a snappy Nazi salute. Afterwards they all do an obligatory genuflection to the Zionist swastika, the paired triangles. A few friends of mine and I find this spectacle bizarre, horrific, beyond surreal, but we appear to be only a tiny minority, at least in the Western "democracies."]

Working Around America: A New Strategy on Israel/Palestine, by Jeff Halper | ICAHD
Last Friday’s vote in the UN in which the US refused to follow the other 14 members of the Security Council in condemning Israel’s ongoing settlement project – including, it should be noted, such traditionally pro-Israel stalwarts as Britain, France, and even Germany and India (for whom Israel is the #2 supplier of arms, as it is with China) – revealed the international isolation into which the US has fallen...

Public Banking: An Idea Whose Time Has Come | Stephen Lendman

The 1913 Federal Reserve Act let powerful bankers usurp America's money system in violation of the Constitution's Article I, Section 8, giving only Congress the power to "coin Money (and) regulate the Value thereof...." Thereafter, powerful bankers victimized working Americans, using money, credit and debt for private self-enrichment by bankrolling and colluding with Congress and administrations to implement laws favoring them...

Pakistan gets Chinese military aid in the face of US threats, by Webster Tarpley | Voltaire Network
By multiplying its military attacks on Pakistani territory and accusing Islamabad of having harbored Osama Bin Laden, the Obama Administration aims to encroach into China’s sphere of influence. Palestine and the 'Parallel states' | Rehmat's World
...both the ‘Two states’ and the ‘Parallel states’ options are to legitimize the Jewish occupation of Palestine. The current verbal shooting between the US and Israel is more of a tactical controversy than a strategic one. The reason behind this latest Obama-Benji charade is to hijack the Hamas-Fatah unity government’s possible move to ask United Nations General Assembly to recognize an independent sovereign Palestine based on 1967 borders. The request is sure to be approved by a majority vote – but the UN membership will certainly get Washington’s veto at the UN Security Council...

In 1991, after the Soviet Union dissolved, everything changed but stayed the same. As a result, today's stakes are far greater, presenting much larger threats to world peace. Imperial Eye on Pakistan: Pakistan in Pieces, Part 1, by Andrew Gavin Marshall | Global Research
As the purported assassination of Osama bin Laden has placed the focus on Pakistan, it is vital to assess the changing role of Pakistan in broad geostrategic terms, and in particular, of the changing American strategy toward Pakistan. The recently reported assassination was a propaganda ploy aimed at targeting Pakistan. To understand this, it is necessary to examine how America has, in recent years, altered its strategy in Pakistan in the direction of destabilization. In short, Pakistan is an American target...

US Congress Backs America's "Eternal Worldwide War", by David Swanson | Global Research
On Thursday, the U.S. House of Representatives backed eternal worldwide war and imprisonment powers for all future presidents, but blocked any ground troops in Libya (except for the ones already there, since the measure included no consequences for its violation). The House also unanimously created a new national holiday to celebrate the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. It defunded the US Institute for Peace (saving the cost of 5 hours in Afghanistan). And it required that all suspected foreign terrorists be tried by the military and not in courts (unless bullets are put in their heads first)...

...When we got to the port of Ashkelon, myself, Darlene and Andrew were marched out of the Israeli war ship and were met by a scenario reminiscent of the Holocaust. It was something that reminded me of Schindler’s List, or the horror-imbued prose of Primo Levi. All the fishermen were made to kneel, stark naked, chained at the ankles and handcuffed with their arms behind their backs, blindfolded. These were the conditions they had been made to travel in, on an open deck for 50 nautical kilometers...
